This weeks Whisper Story comes from LaRue. It’s
been our desire to let you, the reader, tell your inspiring stories. We
thought this week it would be fun to share a Whisper story with you.
The Whisper is communicating with you every single moment through the
sensations of energy and inspiration, or the sensations of peace and openness,
although you may not immediately recognize it.
Not long ago LaRue had an urge to do something creative in her house.
Her mind told her she couldn’t do it, quickly reminding her of all the things
she ‘should’ be doing. Fortunately, she recognized the “reminder” as the
voice of the intellect— the part of her that had been overriding her
creative urge. As soon as she recognized this, she dropped the
‘shoulds’ and gave herself permission to play. The result? Her
creativity expanded and passion poured forth. She had so much energy that
she was inspired to get going on the other projects, the ones that her mind told
her she ‘should’ be doing.
We hope this week’s Whisper Story helps you recognize the creative urges
within. May it give you permission to do what ‘inspires’ you helping you
to live an inspired life!

You Don’t Need Ears to Hear

Have you ever had the experience of running into the
same person over and over in a short period of time? No
matter where you went, you ran into them again and again. It
happened to me, except it wasn’t the same person; it was the same
kind of person. I’ll explain. Over several weeks I
noticed that I was attracting deaf people into my life. The
first time it happened I thought nothing of it - just a wonderful
interaction with a young man. After the third time it
happened I couldn’t help but wonder why. Was there a
message? Was there something I was to learn from this?
I mentioned this during a recent dinner with friends. As I was
telling them about my experience, I observed a perplexing look on
the face of one of my dinner companions. I interrupted my
story to ask if there was a problem. She said, “You did see
the two deaf people at the next table, didn’t you?” “Deaf
people?” I thought to myself, as I turned to see. Sure
enough, there was a young, deaf couple signing their dinner
conversation. I was amazed! I had not even seen them,
and right there in the middle of talking about attracting deaf
people, I had attracted two more! It was at that exact
moment that I knew I was attracting deaf people for a reason.
There must be a message for me and I wanted it!
A few days later I had the understanding of why I had been attracting
deaf people into my life.

I CAN HEAR MY WHISPER STORY of the WEEK |
A Treat From My Whisper!

Do you ever sleep on flights? I often do what I call Med-Naps,
short for meditative naps. I’m not fully awake, but also not fully
asleep. I love Med-Naps because the Whisper comes through loud and
clear.
Last September, on my flight home from North Carolina I was taking a
Med-Nap when I heard my Whisper say, “I have a treat for you.” Treat?
I wondered what it was.
The dictionary says that a treat is anything that affords particular
pleasure or enjoyment. I bet you are wondering what my treat was,
aren’t you? Well, shortly upon arriving home from my North Carolina, I
was gifted a fabulous mini-vacation to Florida! A friend and I stayed
in a luxurious, two-story penthouse. We each had our own master suite
with private balcony to watch the sunset and listen to the ocean
waves. Perched upon the 18th floor, we had a view of emerald green
water and sandy white beaches for miles and miles and miles. What a
reminder of the majesty of our grand creator, of which we are all one!
Talk about a treat! (By the way, the penthouse is for sale. If you
know of anyone who is interested, I’ll connect you.)
During a recent trip to LA for a convention I was awakened on the last
morning with a message from my Whisper. Again, it said, “I have a
treat for you!” I wondered about it for a moment, but by the time I
had breakfast, finished packing, and caught the shuttle to the airport, I
had completely forgotten about the message.
At the airport I was ushered to the self-serve kiosk to check in.
As I inserted my credit card to access my reservation my name instantly
appeared like magic on the screen. Welcome LaRue Eppler! It’s
pretty freaky that a machine can know your identity by the swipe of a credit
card in a matter of seconds. It asked me how many bags I was checking.
I pressed the number one and then you’ll never believe what happened!
Yes, you will. You believe in miracles and magic, right? It
invited me to upgrade to first class for just a few dollars more! I
got excited! I had been standing on my feet at the convention for
days. To be pampered would be quiet a treat.
Then the brain chatter began:
This is ridiculous!
It’s only a three hour flight to Dallas.
You do not need to spend money on that.
If you were headed to England, or it was a long flight it would be worth it.
That’s just a waste of money.
That money could go to something more important.
Do you recognize the mental chatter? I bet you do. Well,
while standing there observing the thoughts dancing around in my head, my
body was suddenly thrust into the kiosk machine. It was as if someone
had pushed me from behind. I looked around to scope out the situation.
No one was there! I was standing there completely alone, yet my body
had been propelled into the kiosk machine.
For those of you who have taken SoulTalk with me, you have learned about
using your body as a pendulum to elicit ‘yes’ and ‘no’ responses from higher
wisdom. You also learned that an involuntary forward movement is a
‘yes’. So, when my body involuntarily moved forward I immediately
recognized my Soul wanted me to accept this offer. It wanted to pamper
me. THIS was my treat!
I quickly hit ‘yes’ to accept, and like magic my first class boarding
pass was ejected from the machine. I must say that I had a fabulous
flight back to Dallas. I especially enjoyed the warm, wet cotton
cloths used to wash my hands before my lovely dinner was served.
It’s been three weeks since that happened and as I write this I am just
now realizing that my poor, tired feet stood in the long security line when
they could have quickly passed through the short security line, the one
reserved for first class passengers! I’m so used to going through the
long line that I hadn’t realized I didn’t have to! I missed a part of
my treat! Oh well! I let it go, but believe me I’ll remember
next time.
Just this morning, I was awakened with the very same words again.
‘I have a treat for you.’ Every time I hear it, I’m like a kid the
night before Christmas who can hardly wait to open her present. To me,
every message from the Whisper is a gift. I wonder what my next treat
will be. For now, I’ll just have to wonder. No doubt it will
appear when I least expect it.
May you embrace your messages from the Whisper with the innocence and
enthusiasm of a child, just like you did when you were about to rip open a
birthday present! As you go about the holidays, let the Whisper guide
you. I know with certainty that you will discover a lot of treats
along the way! |
